Course: HCA 422: Global Issues in Health Services (GE, capstone)

Approximate Travel Cost: $800 (includes accommodations, meals, and a social program) + airfare

Tuition: $945

Course Description: In this course, students will examine factors that impact global health; analyze health care delivery systems; and explore the governmental, economic, social, and political forces that influence them.

The social program includes: Psychenet (Network Mental Health), Hamburg harbor, Emigrant museum, Neuengamme (Concentration camps), Berlin Association of Statutory Health Insurance Funds, Federal Ministry of Health, Joint Federal Committee, Institution Health Care provision for People Without Insurance, Museum History of Hamburg, Canoe tour, Medical Care Center, Hamburg Health Department, and guided city tour
